Charlton Kings, Gloucestershire

Charlton Kings is a suburban village in Gloucestershire. The Church of St Mary dates from the 12th century. Charlton Kings had grown to be a large village by the middle of the 19th century. The coming of the railway in 1881 led to it becoming increasingly suburbanised. The village is now contiguous with Cheltenham to its west. It is within the council area of Cheltenham (Gloucestershire).
