Chanctonbury Ring, Sussex

Chanctonbury Ring is a prehistoric hillfort on Chanctonbury Hill, Sussex. It consists of a roughly circular low earthen rampart surrounded by a ditch and is thought to date to the late Bronze Age or early Iron Age. The site was reused during the Roman period as a temple precinct. It is within the council area of Horsham (West Sussex).
