Chadsmoor, Staffordshire

Chadsmoor is a village in Staffordshire. The name reputedly dates from a visit to the area in the 7th century by St Chad, though the village developed around coal mining in the 19th century. It lies between Cannock and Hednesford and is now more or less contiguous with each. It is within the council area of Cannock Chase (Staffordshire).
