The Cathedral of St Patrick and St Colman (aka Newry Cathedral) is the Roman Catholic cathedral church of the Diocese of Dromore, situated on Hill Street in Newry, County Down. It is within the townland of Carneyhough, in the civil parish of Newry. The cathedral is of Perpendicular style in ashlar granite, consisting of a nave, chancel, side aisles, transepts, sacristy and bell tower. Construction commenced on this site, known as Seymour’s Green, in 1825, to designs by Thomas Duff. The church was dedicated in 1829. In 1888-90, the transepts, sacristy, and north tower were added. In 1904-1909 the east end was rebuilt to create the present sanctuary and side chapels. The church is within the council area of Newry, Mourne and Down.
