Cathcart, Renfrewshire
Cathcart is a suburban village in Renfrewshire, which lies in the Glasgow conurbation. The White Cart Water flows through Cathcart, downstream from Linn Park. Holmwood House is the finest and most elaborate residential villa designed by Alexander "Greek" Thomson, the architect behind many of Glasgow's grand classical buildings. The village is within the council area of City of Glasgow.
