Castlewellan Castle, Down
Castlewellan Castle is a mid 19th-century Scottish baronial castle near Castlewellan, County Down. It was built by the Annesley family between 1856 and 1858. It stands close to the entrance of the arboretum overlooking Castlewellan Lake and was built on the site of an old church. The castle is within the council area of Newry, Mourne and Down.
