Castletown, Tyrone

Castletown is a south-western suburb of Strabane, lying east of the River Finn in County Tyrone. It lies within the townland of Castletown, in the civil parish of Urney. Prior to the 1960s Castletown townland was almost entirely rural, since when the northern half of the townland has seen significant housing development, effectively becoming a suburb of Strabane. Castletown House dates from the early 19th century. The area is within the council area of Derry City and Strabane.
