Castledillon Obelisk, Armagh

Castledillon Obelisk is an obelisk erected in 1792 by Sir Chapel Molyneux, located on the summit of Canon Hill in the townland of Turcarra, County Armagh. An inscription reads "to commemorate the glorious revolution which took place in favour of the constitution of the kingdom, under the auspices of the volunteers of Ireland". The obelisk was a landscape feature of Castle Dillon, the Molyneux family home. The monument is in the care of the Department for Communities. The monument is within the council area of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon.
