Castle Roborough, Devon
Castle Roborough is a Norman motte castle near Loxhore, Devon. It is situated on a ridge forming the watershed between two branches of the River Yeo. The motte survives as a circular mound which measures 100ft in diameter and is up to 28ft high. On the summit is a small flat area defined by a rampart which measures up to 6ft high. The surrounding ditch is preserved as a buried feature. The monument is within the council area of North Devon (Devon).
