Castle House, Essex
The Castle House is a 15th-century house, with many later alterations, in Dedham, Essex. It was the home of Sir Alfred Munnings from 1919 till his death in 1959. Now a museum, it retains many of the Munnings' original furniture and artefacts. The studios where some of Munnings' most famous works were painted are preserved. It is in the care of the National Trust. It is within the council area of Colchester (Essex).
