Castle Cary, Somerset

Castle Cary is a market town in Somerset, on the River Cary. The earthworks of the former Cary Castle stand on Lodge Hill above the town. The Roundhouse (1779) is a village lock-up. The Market House (1855) houses the town museum. The town is within the council area of Somerset.
