Carrowdore Castle, Down
Carrowdore Castle is a Georgian country house, located near Carrowdore, County Down. It is within the townland of Ballyrawer, in the civil parish of Donaghadee. Carrowdore Castle was built in 1818-20 by Nicholas de La Cherois-Crommelin. This three-storey rubble and brick Georgian-Gothic house was built in a rustic gothic style, with castellations, corner turrets and large projecting tower. The three-storey tower to the south has a Jacobean-Gothic feel. It is within the council area of Ards and North Down.
