Carreg Hirfaen, Cardiganshire / Carmarthenshire

Carreg Hirfaen is a 16ft high monolith, located to the north of Ffaldybrenin, on the Cardiganshire / Carmarthenshire border. The standing stone probably dates to the Bronze Age and stands to a height of 16ft and measures 4ft x 3ft, with a rectangular cross section. The stone tapers in thickness toward the top which is an uneven chisel shape. It is within the council areas of Cardiganshire and Ceredigion.
