Carniny, Antrim
Carniny is an urban area in the north-west of Ballymena, County Antrim. It is within the townland of Carniny, in the civil parish of Ahoghill. The townland of Carniny remained largely rural until the mid 20th century, since when much of it has been developed with suburban housing, effectively becoming a north-western suburb of Ballymena. The area is within the council area of Mid and East Antrim.
