Carnforth, Lancashire
Carnforth is a small town in Lancashire. The town stands on the River Keer. In the 19th century, Carnforth grew from a small village into a railway town when it became the junction of three major railways. Carnforth railway station was used as the set for David Lean's 1945 film Brief Encounter. The town is within the council area of Lancaster (Lancashire).
