Caratacus Stone, Somerset

The Caratacus Stone is an early Christian memorial stone on the south-eastern edge of Winsford Hill in Somerset. The stone, which is of early mediæval date, is free-standing and of local origin. A carved Latin inscription reads `CARAACI' and `NEPVS', often translated to mean `kinsman of Caratacus'. It is within the council area of Somerset.
