Canons Park, Middlesex

Canons Park is a public park and the suburban area around it in the north-west of Edgware, Middlesex. Canons Park is located on the site of the early 18th-century country house Cannons built by James Brydges, 1st Duke of Chandos. Though the house was later replaced by a smaller house (now a school), large portions of the original gardens now form the public gardens of Canons Park. St Lawrence's Church, the parish church of Little Stanmore, has a stone tower dating from C. 1360. The accompanying Chandos Mausoleum is an early 18th-century English Baroque building by James Gibbs. Canons Park is within the council area of Harrow.
