Caerleon Roman Fortress and Baths is the remains of a Roman fort, bath house and amphitheatre, located at Caerleon, Monmouthshire. The amphitheatre took on a new life in Arthurian legend. Geoffrey of Monmouth wrote in his History of the Kings of Britain that Arthur was crowned in Caerleon and that the ruined amphitheatre was the remains of his Round Table. The site is in the care of Cadw. It is within the council area of Newport.
