Cadbury Castle, Somerset
Cadbury Castle is a large Bronze Age and Iron Age hillfort situated on Cadbury Hill, a dome shaped limestone outcrop, near South Cadbury, Somerset. The hillfort is formed by an 18 acres plateau, surrounded by a set of multiple ramparts which vary from 350ft to 240ft in total width. The fort continued in use until after the Roman period. Local legend claims that Cadbury Castle is the site of King Arthur's Camelot. It is within the council area of Somerset.
