Burton Dassett, Warwickshire

Burton Dassett is a hamlet in Warwickshire. Burton Dassett is a shrunken mediæval village. It was enclosed for sheep farming by Sir Edward Belknap and John Heritage at the end of the 15th century. Burton Dassett Hills Country Park cover much of the surrounding area. It was the birthplace of Susannah Smith, wife of agriculturalist Jethro Tull. The hamlet is within the council area of Stratford-on-Avon (Warwickshire).
