Burgundy Chapel, Somerset
Burgundy Chapel is the remains of a tiny mediæval chapel situated on a steep slope above the coast west of Minehead, Somerset. The earliest reference is from 1405, when, as 'Bircombe Chapel' it was mentioned in the household accounts of the Luttrell family, owners of nearby Dunster Castle. The chapel was ruinous at least by 1717. The ruins visible today are still recognisably a religious structure. It is within the council area of Somerset.
