Bungay Butter Cross, Suffolk
Bungay Butter Cross is a 17th-century market cross in the Market Place, Bungay, Suffolk. The cross, which dates from 1689, is octagonal in plan, with a lead covered dome roof and a wood pedestal supporting a lead figure of justice which was added in 1754. An earlier cross on the site was destroyed by fire in 1688. It is within the council area of East Suffolk (Suffolk).
