Buckinghamshire CA, Buckinghamshire
Buckinghamshire is a council area. It forms the unitary authority in a single-tier system of local government. The council area has a significantly different area to the historic county from which it takes its name, primarily it that does not include (a) a large area at the north of the county (which includes Milton Keynes and Olney); (b) a large area at the south-east of the county (which includes Slough and Wraysbury). There are also several other small differences between the boundaries of the council area and the historic county, notably in that the council area includes Stokenchurch in Oxfordshire.
