Buckfast, Devon
Buckfast is a village lying on the River Dart in southern Devon. Buckfast Abbey was founded in 1018 and dissolved in 1539. In 1882, French Benedictine monks acquired the ruins and rebuilt the abbey, completing the new church in 1938. The village is within the council area of Teignbridge (Devon).
