Brumby Hall, Lincolnshire

Brumby Hall is a country house at Old Brumby, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, in the Parts of Lindsey. The hall was constructed in the 17th century; a sundial dated to 1637 is present onsite. Constructed of local red brick, featuring English Bond in the front range and Flemish Bond in the 18th-century section. It has a Westmorland slate roof and brick stacks. It was extended in the late 18th century by George Pycock for Thomas Pindar, and further altered and extended in the 19th and 20th centuries. The Hall was home to notable figures including Richard Bellingham, who later founded Boston, USA, and Nathaniel Fiennes, a Parliament colonel and Speaker of Cromwell's Parliament. It is within the council area of North Lincolnshire.
