Broughty Ferry is a town on Firth of Tay in Angus. It forms a suburb on the eastern side of the City of Dundee. "The Ferry" was created a burgh in 1864, but absorbed into the Royal Burgh of Dundee in 1913. The town is within the council area of City of Dundee.
