Brough, Westmorland

Brough is a village on the Swindale Beck in the north-east of Westmorland. It comprises the distinct settlements of Church Brough and Market Brough, each of which is also usually considered a village in its own right. Historically the larger village was known as Brough under Stainmore. The village is within the council area of Westmorland and Furness.
