Bronllys Castle, Brecknockshire

Bronllys Castle is a Norman motte-and-bailey fortress near Bronllys, Brecknockshire. The site is believed to have been a pre-Norman Welsh court before the Normans built the first castle. In the mid-12th century, Walter de Clifford replaced the original wooden keep with the stone keep which still stands. It is in the care of Cadw. It is within the council area of Powys.
