Bromley Common, Kent
Bromley Common is a suburban area in the south of Bromley, Kent. The common, a haunt of highwaymen, extended along the sides of the road that formed the main route from Tunbridge Wells to Bromley. Following its enclosure in 1826, development took place around the southern end of the common, including the building in 1842 of the Holy Trinity Church. Larger-scale suburban development took place further north from the 1860s. The area is within the council area of Bromley.
