Brodick is a village on the Isle of Arran, Buteshire. It is set in the middle of the island's eastern coast in Brodick Bay below Goat Fell, the tallest mountain on Arran. The name is derived from Old Norse, meaning "Broad Bay". The harbour is at the centre of the village. Brodick Castle, a former residence of the Dukes of Hamilton, stands in the town. Brodick is a popular holiday destination. Brodick is within the council area of North Ayrshire.
