Bridport Town Hall, Dorset

Bridport Town Hall is an 18th-century town hall in Bridport, Dorset. It was designed by William Tyler RA, a founding member of the Royal Academy, and built by James Mason between 1785-1786. The clock tower with cupola and weather vane was added around 1805. Inside the hall are a mural of panels depicting weaving, spinning, a female figure representing the town, yarn processing and net braiding. The murals were added in 1925 to a design by Bridport-born Francis Newbery, Director of the Glasgow School of Art. The hall is within the council area of Dorset.
