Bridgeness, West Lothian

Bridgeness is a former village which is now a part of Bo'ness, West Lothian. The Bridgeness Slab, a Roman distance slab created around 142 CE marking a portion of the Antonine Wall built by the Second Legion, was found here in 1868 on a promontory close to Harbour Road. Bridgeness is within the council area of Falkirk.
