The Bridge of Dee (aka Brig o Dee) is a 16th-century bridge across the River Dee at Aberdeen, linking Aberdeenshire and Kincardineshire. The bridge consists of seven nearly semicircular ribbed arches, built using granite and Elgin sandstone. The bridge was built following a bequest of £20,000 by Bishop William Elphinstone who died in 1514. It was rebuilt between 1718-1723 and widened in 1841. Today the bridge carries the A92 into Aberdeen from the south. It is within the council area of City of Aberdeen.
