Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire

Bridge of Allan is a town in Stirlingshire, standing on the Allan Water. The town is named for its bridge over the eponymous river. Founded in 1852 by Major Henderson, the Strathallan Games (usually held on the first Sunday in August) attract hundreds of athletes, pipe bands, and highland dancers. The town is within the council area of Stirling.
