Bramhall, Cheshire
Bramhall is a suburban village in Cheshire. The manor of Bramall dates from the Anglo-Saxon period. Previously a small village, Bramhall began to develop as a residential area in the 19th century. The 1960s and 1970s saw a rapid growth in housing with the village becoming suburban in nature. It is now contiguous with Cheadle Hulme to its north-west. Bramall Hall is a timber-framed Tudor manor house. Bramhall is within the council area of Stockport.
