Bradenstoke Priory, Wiltshire
Bradenstoke Priory is a ruined Augustinian priory at Bradenstoke, Wiltshire. It was founded in 1142 by Walter D’Evereaux, sheriff of Wiltshire. Following its dissolution in 1539, much of the remains of the priory were used as a farmhouse. In 1929 the then owner Randolph Hearst had most of the surviving west range and the tithe barn demolished, removing the fabric for re-use at St Donat's in Glamorgan and his estate in America. All that now remains of the priory are its tower and undercroft. The monument is within the council area of Wiltshire.
