Bounds Green, Middlesex

Bounds Green is a former hamlet that is now a suburban area in the north-west of Wood Green, Middlesex. Bounds Green remained a small hamlet until the late 19th century, from when suburban houses began to appear with the outward spread of Wood Green. Electric tram services began in 1906. The suburban build-up was completed following the opening of Bounds Green station in 1932. The Green is still extant in part, lying on either side of Bounds Green Road. The area is within the council area of Haringey.
