Boscobel House, Shropshire
Boscobel House is a historic house in the civil parish of Boscobel in Shropshire. The house lies within Shropshire though part of the boundary of the parkland surrounding it lies along the Staffordshire border. The house began as a 16th-century farmhouse and has been expanded and altered many times since. The house, famous for its role in the escape of Charles II after the Battle of Worcester in 1651, is in the care of English Heritage. It is within the council area of Shropshire.
