Boothby Manor House (aka Boothby Pagnell Manor House) is a mediæval building in Boothby Pagnell, Lincolnshire, in the Parts of Kesteven. This unique Norman manor house is in the private grounds behind Boothby Pagnell Hall. English Heritage describes Boothby Manor House as the 'most important small Norman manor house in England'. It is a rare surviving example of Norman domestic architecture dating from the late 12th century to early 13th century. The surviving structure is now understood to be a chamber block, which was originally part of a larger complex that likely included a ground-floor hall. It was built using Lincolnshire Limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. Though surrounded by a moat, it was not a fortified house. Modifications have been made throughout the centuries, including a 15th-century window and the west-wing roof and gables are probably 18th century and later. The building features a vaulted undercroft that likely housed livestock and wine, as well as a stone rib-vaulted ceiling. A notable feature is the 12th-century rounded-back fireplace in the hall. It is within the council area of South Kesteven (Lincolnshire).
