Bollington, Cheshire

Bollington is a town in Cheshire. It lies is on the River Dean and the Macclesfield Canal, on the edge of the Peak District. It was formerly a major centre for cotton-spinning. Clarence Mill is a five-storey former cotton spinning mill standing beside the canal. White Nancy, a monument built to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo, lies above the town on Kerridge Hill. The town is within the council area of Cheshire East.
