Blackwatertown, Armagh
Blackwatertown is a small village, lying on the east bank of the River Blackwater in County Armagh. It is within the townland of Blackwatertown, in the civil parish of Clonfeacle. The village's origins trace back to a fort built in 1575 by the English during the Tudor conquest of Ireland to control a strategic river crossing.
