Blackskull, Down

Blackskull is a small village in County Down. It is within the townland of Ballygunaghan, in the civil parish of Donaghcloney. The hamlet developed around the main crossroads in Ballygunaghan townland. In the early 19th century an inn called the Black Skull lay at the crossroads. The village has seen significant suburban development since the mid 20th century. The village is within the council area of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon.
