Blackheath, Staffordshire / Worcestershire

Blackheath is a Black Country town, built on the very border of Staffordshire and Worcestershire. The town was developed during the 19th century around the turnpike road from Oldbury to Halesowen. As such, it has always lain in the two counties. The High Street is on the Staffordshire side but with a modern shopping centre on the Worcestershire side. The town is within the council area of Sandwell.
