Blackfen, Kent
Blackfen is a suburban village in Kent. Blackfen remained a small hamlet to the south-west of Danson Park until the selling of the Danson estate in 1922. Following this Blackfen saw large-scale suburban development. Blackfen is now contiguous with Welling to its north and Sidcup to its south. The Church of the Holy Redeemer (1933) is built entirely of steel and concrete. The village is within the council area of Bexley.
