Birstall, Yorkshire
Birstall is a market town in Yorkshire, in the West Riding. A former mill town, it is part of the so-called Heavy Woollen district. St Peter's Church dates to the time of Henry VIII, although the original tower is much earlier. The town is within the council area of Kirklees.
