Birmingham Cathedral, Warwickshire

Birmingham Cathedral (formally the Cathedral Church of St Philip) is a Church of England cathedral on Colmore Row in central Birmingham, Warwickshire. It is the seat of the Bishop of Birmingham. It was built as a parish church in the Baroque style by Thomas Archer, consecrated in 1715 and elevated to a cathedral in 1905. Principal among the furnishings are the organ-case of 1715 by Thomas Schwarbrick of Warwick and the stained glass windows of 1885-97 designed by Sir Edward Burne-Jones and made by William Morris. It is within the council area of Birmingham.
