Bincknoll Castle, Wiltshire

Bincknoll Castle (aka Bincknoll Camp) is an ancient earthwork, situated on the Marlborough Downs near Broad Town, Wiltshire. It was previously identified as a motte-and-bailey castle with evidence of a settlement within the outer bailey. More recently it has been considered to be more probably of Iron Age origin, though with later elements. It is within the council area of Wiltshire.
