Bewdley, Worcestershire / Shropshire
Bewdley is a town in Worcestershire, lying on the banks of the River Severn. The north-west part of the modern town extends into Shropshire. Bewdley Bridge over the Severn was built in 1798 by Thomas Telford. Bewdley is the headquarters of the Severn Valley Railway. The town is within the council area of Wyre Forest (Worcestershire).
