Bettws-y-crwyn is a small village in Shropshire, close to the borders with Montgomeryshire and Radnorshire. Its name is from the Welsh language, meaning "chapel of the fleeces". The church of St Mary dates from the late 13th century, with later restorations. There is a fine 15th century screen and roof, a 17th-century pulpit, and 19th century pews. The village is within the council area of Shropshire.
