Belvedere, Kent

Belvedere is a suburban village in Kent. Belvedere House was built in the 1770s on Lessness Heath. From 1847, then estate owner Sir Culling Eardley developed the area for housing. Developments continued into the 20th century, during which the land between the village and the Thames was developed for docking and industrial use. All Saints Church was consecrated in 1853. The village is within the council area of Bexley.
